About the Role
In this full-time, Monday to Friday role (7:30am–4:00pm), you will play a key role in the daily coordination of transport operations as part of a supportive and experienced team.
Working closely with drivers, contractors, and internal teams, you will plan and allocate deliveries to ensure customer deadlines are met safely and efficiently. You will also support a strong HSEQ culture, ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations through clear communication, problem-solving, and effective coordination.
Responsibilities
Oversee transport planning and driver allocations using systems to deliver efficient, customer-focused outcomes.
Ensure all on-road activities, including driver training and performance, comply with Chain of Responsibility legislation and Jaybro policies, standards and procedures.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team through clear communication, strong operational leadership and ongoing performance development.
Build strong relationships with drivers, couriers, internal sales and operations teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional customer service.
Manage workforce planning, including rosters, time and attendance to ensure effective and efficient labour cost control.
Requirements
2+ years’ experience in transport allocating in a fast-paced operational environment
Experience using transport systems is highly regarded.
Strong understanding of WHS and Chain of Responsibility requirements
Experience leading, coaching, or supporting others in an operational environment
Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Positive team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow
